The Sea and the Aeolian Islands
The gulf of Patti is ten/fifteen minutes from Villa Rica. The sandy beach stretches along to a beautiful grotto( at Mongiove) from Patti marina.
The seven Aeolian Islands are a splendid archipelago formed by volcanic rock; they are named, according to Greek mythology, after the God Eolo, King of the winds . thanks to their unique beauty, with two still active Volcanoes, Stromboli and Vulcano, the Aeolians have been nominated a world heritage by Unesco. You can reach the islands by steamer from Patti in Summer, from Milazzo by hovercraft and boat, all the year round.
